There are three adult school crossing guards, at King St and Mountain St, at Thompson St and Second St, and at King St and Thompson St.

SRTS Grant 2009-2011
Bordewich is one of the eight schools included in the 2009-2011 SRTS grant to the school district of $259K, of which $142K is for infrastructure and $117K for non-infrastructure. Bordewich was tentatively allocated $6000 for infrastructure. Bordewich is also part of the $500K SRTS grant to Carson City Public Works, which tentatively indentifies several projects near Bordewich.
