Fremont is one of the eight schools included in the 2009-2011 SRTS grant to the school district of $259K, of which $142K is for infrastructure and $117K for non-infrastructure. Fremont was tentatively allocated $7,500 for infrastructure. Fremont is also part of the $500K SRTS grant to Carson City Public Works, which tentatively indentifies several projects near Fremont. The district received a grant of $23,244 for implemention of the SRTS program at Fremont Elementary in the 2008-2009 school year. The speed trailer will be used at all district elementary schools on a rotating basis.
