Fritsch Elementary School

School

FritschESFritsch Elementary School is located at 504 Bath St in Carson City, Nevada. Enrollment is about 545 students in grades K-5. The Principal is Mary Garey, the Vice Principal is Wayland Denny, and the PE Specialist is Laura Valley.

There are five crossing guards assigned to Fritsch, at Mountain Sreet and Bath Street, Mountain and Winne Lane, Winnie and Division Street, over Divsion St to the north at Bath, and at Bath and Division.

Fritsch has a very active and successful recess walking program. Participation in the fall 2009 Walk to School Day was about 23%.

SRTS Grant 2009-2011

Fritsch is one of the eight schools included in the 2009-2011 SRTS grant to the school district of $259K, of which $142K is for infrastructure and $117K for non-infrastructure. Fritsch was tentatively allocated $4,200 for infrastructure. Fritsch is also part of the $500K SRTS grant to Carson City Public Works, which tentatively indentifies several projects near Fritsch.
