SRTS Stakeholders
The Safe Routes to School stakeholders are all people interested in the Safe Routes program in Carson City, including school teachers and staff, district staff, partner agencies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. Anyone who is interested in may participate. The stakeholders meet about once a month in order to keep up to date on the program and to provide input on priorities and innovative solutions to challenges in getting students to and from school safely by way of human power. The group is advisory to Carson City School District and Carson City Public Works, but does not hold any decision making authority.
PTA/PTO meetings at individual schools also serve to keep the school community informed and to provide input to the program on issues important to the school.
Next Meeting: Thursday, January 21, 3:15-4:30PM, Mark Twain Elementary School
